The 2026 Volkswagen ID.4 comes in three trims. You can order the Pro and Pro S trims with a single electric motor and rear-wheel drive (RWD), or dual electric motors and all-wheel drive (AWD). The third trim, the Pro S Plus, is AWD-only. RWD-equipped models output 282 horsepower, while AWD-equipped models achieve up to 335 horsepower and a 4.9-second 0 - 60 time.  

Range and Charging 

EPA-estimated driving range is 291 miles for RWD trims and 263 miles for AWD trims. On the subject of charging, every 2026 Volkswagen ID.4 comes with a two-year Electrify America Pass+ membership with Plug&Charge. This works through the Electrify America smartphone app and helps streamline the charging and payment process at an Electrify America station.  

Cargo
